Doji Ayo was a bushi of the Crane Clan who was fostered to the Akodo school. There he was at odds with Matsu Shindoku, who was bested by Ayo consistently. The young Lion was expelled from the school after he failed an ambush at Ayo's chambers, being beated again by Ayo. [1]
