- Ghul Creation: it was rarely used by any other than the Jackal corrupted Qabal sahir. The sahir might take hold a ghul's mind, could create a ghul, or destroy ghuls with little effort.
- Life: the spells of this type allowed the sahir to heal or harm others. The sahir might heal upon whom he lays his hands, cure any mundane illness, even to multiple targets at a time.
- Death: these spells inflicted wounds and disease directly upon those people the sahir wished. The target's flesh was rent, inflict a disease, even to multiple targets at a time.
