|Titles:||Member of the Council of the Spider|
Daigotsu Tenbatsu was a bushi of the Spider Clan. Among the Spider he was known as a paragon of Shourido and was called the Dark Prophet. He had the ability to know if someone spoke the truth to him.
He was a gunso of the Spider legions during the final battle of the Destroyer War in 1173. He witnessed Fu Leng's death and how the now divine Daigotsu ascended from Jigoku and slew the gaijin goddess Kali-Ma. Once the goddess was dead, he ripped his helmet away, dropped to the ground, tears flowing freely from his eyes, tore his shirt open to reveal his bare chest. "Daigotsu-sama," he sobbed. "My life for you!"
Council Member Edit
After the Spider Clan was elevated to a Great Clan, a ruling council was formed in 1174 that would lead the clan during the youth of Daigotsu Kanpeki, who had been chosen to become the Clan Champion by his father, Daigotsu. Tenbatsu was a member of the council until Kanpeki came of age. The Shadow Dragon met Tenbatsu and declared that the majority of the Goju and Ninube were his to command.
Tenbatsu was the wielder of Seiatsu as part of the arrangement between the Unicorn Clan Champion and Daigotsu Kanpeki. The blade had to remain in the hands of a warrior without the blessings of Jigoku. In 1186 Kanpeki was appointed as Champion, and Tenbatsu became his lieutenant. He counseled his lord about the Shadow Dragon, but the discussion the creature had with Kanpeki went poorly.
