Daidoji Reiji was a bushi and Iron Warrior of the Crane Clan.

Winter Court - 1199 Edit

Reiji was a twenty years old [citation needed] samurai, son of Daidoji Kobe, who attended the Imperial Winter Court of 1199 at Toshi Ranbo. [1] At the end of the Winter Court, Reiji became betrothed to Matsu Chizuki, the Matsu Daimyo. [2]

Offering an insult to the Matsu Edit

In 1200 Reiji met his friend Kakita Daitsu at Shiro Matsu during a celebration. Doji Hoshihana and two Ikoma Bards weaved a tale of the defense of the Kitsu Tombs, which had been attacked in 1199 by Scorpion forces. Kakita Daitsu had defended the Tombs and trio of Matsu had been with him for most of the battle. After the Lion defenders were slaughtered, Daitsu stood before the shrine to Lady Matsu, fending off the enemy, one at a time. His betrothed Chizuki had realized that doing so, the Kakita had offered an insult to the Matsu. [3]
