Dai-sojo, or Grand Master, [1] was the Rokugani word which designated those elder monks who overseen several monasteries. They were in the top of the monastic hierarchy, only below the Head of the Brotherhood to whom they reported. They wore a red robe over their saffron to show their status. [2] [3]
