Curse was a Mastery 4 maho spell which required a component of the target, such as a lock of hair or an ounce of blood. It must be something that contained a part of the target's spiritual energy, and if the curse was successful the target found odd things being done by or to them. The caster must keep the component used to create the curse on them at all times, because if it was lost the curse was broken. That was the only way the curse could be broken. [1] [2]

Curses could be very different, depending on what the caster wished to happen to the target. Curses could involve inability to dream, whisper, lie, etc. [3]
