Crippled Bone Tribe

The Crippled Bone Tribe contains the military might of the Nezumi race. Their berserkers are feared warriors. Proud and powerful, many of the most important figures in Nezumi history came from this tribe, the most important of which was Te'tik'kir.

Te'Tik'kir was a powerful Nameseeker and Shaman who dreamed of a unified Nezumi, such as the fallen empire Rememberers spoke of in their stories from Yesterday. He believed that the best way to create the One Tribe was to convince Mat'tck, the Crippled Bone Chieftain, to use the unstoppable military power of the Crippled Bone to conquer the other tribes and form them into a single, powerful unit.

Failing to convince Mat'tck to turn against his own people, Te'Tik'Kir went to the Dark Oracles. Sustaining himself through his powerful Name magic, he proposed the following scheme: "If Crippled Bone were to declare war on the other clans, would I live to see a unified One Clan?" The Dark Oracle of Earth said "yes" and transported Te'Tik'kir home, where an unpleasant surprise waited.

Te'Tik'Kir appeared to find Crippled Bone at war all around, fighting off Oni and other Nezumi. Mat'tck was killed in the battle, and the Dark Oracle of Earth appeared and told Te'Tik'Kir that the Nezumi would indeed become One Tribe, united in death. Te'Tik'Kir killed the Dark Oracle in a fierce battle that immediately followed that statement.

The Crippled Bone were weakened, but the Oracle could not tell a lie. Therefore, Te'Tik'Kir was sustained for generations, unable to die until the One Tribe was formed. He grew older, and took his place as chieftain of the Crippled Bone, who he led until Kan'ok'ticheck became the leader of the One Tribe. This occured at the same time as the Tsuno incident and the arrival of a strange Nezumi who claimed to be from the ancient times, and Te'Tik'Kir was forced to choose between saving Kan'ok'ticheck and saving the Crippled Bone. He chose the former, and together Kan'ok'ticheck and Te'Tik'Kir defeated the immediate threat and ran to the Crippled Bone to save them from whatever dangers had been thrown their way.

When they arrived, they found the Crippled Bone recovering from a savage Tsuno attack. Had it not been for the actions of Ik'krt and his group of Grasping Paw Tribe, the tribe would have been completely destroyed.

The tribe now serves as the military backbone of the One Tribe, which stands united against Tomorrow. The Criplped Bone Tribe territory is now located in the Hiruma part of the Shadowlands since the Elemental Terrors pushed them out from the Heaven's Grave area.
