Cleansing Fire was a ward against the Shadowlands Taint developed by the Kuni Shugenja. It consisted of two sheafs of paper, with invocations to the Fire kami written on both. The first sheet is applied like a bandage, and the second released the kami to cleanse the affected area incinerating the flesh. A secondary enchantment closed the wound. It was named for the pain a samurai must endure to be so treated. [1]
