I came upon the Oni and they moved before me, opening my path, guiding me onward - perhaps I am one of them now. Perhaps the darkness of the scroll has led me here, but I do not know, I do not care. Nothing is the same. Once I thought the Dark Lands were filled with vileness and corruption, but now I know that they are beautiful beyond imagining. They are filled with lovely apparitions, creatures whose power and might are brilliant beyond imagining.
You follow the sons of kami. I am destined to follow a kami itself - and the Dark One has called me, among all the shugenja of Rokugan - to do His bidding. How could I refuse? I know you will not respond, will not answer, will not understand, but I had to tell you.
