Chui

From L5r: Legend of the Five Rings

The rank of chui designates a the lieutenant of a unit under the command of a taisa. A chui will command from four to twenty gunso and their troops, or approximately 800 to 1,000 soldiers. They are usually a promoted gunso who showed a firm understanding of tactics and strategy. Chui's are sometimes rewarded for their command with a small castle near where their unit is posted.
