Chojiro was a heimin of Ryoko Owari Toshi. After the death of the Mantis Clan Champion, Yoritomo Aramasu, Chojiro found the Celestial Sword of the Mantis Clan, Nobori Raiu, which had been presumed taken by the Scorpion. Chojiro first thought to sell the blade, but soon found himself in hiding from the two rival Mantis Champions, Yoritomo Kumiko and Yoritomo Kitao. [1] The heimin was convinced by a Daidoji agent to pass the sword to the Crane Clan. [2]
