Chiroru

Chiroru was on of two dozen ronin who were dispatched ahead of the armies of the Great Clans during the Battle of Sleeping River. Chiroru was the only one who survived to see the battle's conclusion, and was subsequently offered a place in the Fox Clan. He replied, "My borthers died without a clan, Kitsune-sama. If I arrive in Jigoku wearing your mon, they will not know me." When he died and his ashes were spread across the Sleeping River Plain. (Wolf p. 42)
