Chameleon tattoo grants the monk the ability to change their appearance to that of another human they have encountered. The duration for which the monk has known that person determines if the tattoo is successful in altering the monk's appearance. The transformation takes roughly ten minutes, but while altered the monk looses some sense of his own identity. (Dragon p. 44)
