The Chamber of Crystal was a crystal prison created to contain Shosuro who had been possessed by the Lying Darkness.
Togashi

In 82, after four decades of struggling to control the Lying Darkness, Shosuro surrendered herself to Togashi in an attempt to find a cure for her mystical ailment. Although Togashi was unable to remove the Darkness from Shosuro's soul, he was able to construct a chamber of pure crystal deep beneath Kyuden Togashi to contain Shosuro. When the Darkness finally took control of her soul, it could be contained. [1] [2]
Destruction Edit
When Hitomi in 1132 touched the crystal prison with her Obsidian Hand, the crystal began to crack, [3] releasing Shosuro, [4] the chamber was destroyed as well. [citation needed]
