Buraindo was a monk of the Brotherhood of Shinsei and member of the Spider Clan.
Buraindo once had a different name, but when a fever took his vision, he joined a monastery of the Spider Clan. His training there awakened in Buraindo a zest for life that he previously could never have imagined. He sought to forget his past, relished his present, and was obsessed with the future. [1]
Colonies[]
In 1198 alongside Kyoya, Chenko, Raya and Ide Kamino scoured the Colonies for the place where an Ashalan known as the Crystal Wind was in deep slumber. Kyoya and Chenko were lost before they realized the Ashalan had awakened. Buraindo's will was overcomed by the Crystal Wind and he attacked Raya. No one returned. [2] Another group of samurai managed to fight those men the Ashalan had enthralled with his sigils, [3] and the creature was dead, pierced by one of its own strange weapons. [4]
