The Blade of Slaughter was the Shamesword that Kokujin created when he sacrificed his vassal Kokujin Kobai on the Anvil of Despair. Through the intervention of Lady Moon Kobai's soul was not sealed within the blade entirely. Kobai still lived and sought redemption within the Dragon Clan by tracking down the blade. [1]
Appearance and Abilities[]
The blade had a plainly adorned hilt and tsuba made of gold, but the saya was covered in etchings of skeletons, fire, and scenes of mayhem. [2] Where the Blade of Fury was an instrument of murder the Blade of Slaughter was one of a madman. Kobai's life was a violent one, one of a bully and a butcher, a Hitoden. After he became tainted at the Battle of Oblivion's Gate his primal tendencies became even more with his taint. The part of Kobai's soul trapped within the blade was the tainted part, and every time the blade was used Kobai broke out in bouts of rage. [1]

The location of the blade was unknown to the Dragon but Kobai gained a sense of where it was every time it was used. [1]
