Benten's Touch was an air spell which enhanced the prayers the shugenja would make to the air kami. ^[1] The kami whispered suggestions to others, causing them to perceive the target of this spell more positively than they otherwise might. ^[2] Important courtiers nearly always had a shugenja to provide this blessing before an important meeting. ^[3]
