Bayushi Shindei was a bushi samurai-ko of the Scorpion Clan. She was the caretaker of the Sleeping Lake behind Kyuden Bayushi before the Scorpion Coup. Her grand-daughter, also Shindei, was waiting for the day when she would take her place. [1]
