Banmei was the headman of the eta people in the Hinjaku district of Otosan Uchi prior to the Scorpion Coup. His house was destroyed with Banmei inside by Mirumoto Hojize's men, when the eta did not clean disposal in the Hojize district, as ordered by their district's governor Mirumoto Hinjaku and Hojize's cousin.
