The Asahina Daimyo granted refuge to him and the followers of Fudo, a heretical sect of the Brotherhood of Shinsei, in a remote monastery of the Crane lands. [1]

It was known that Miroken came to a small Crane village near Kyuden Ukara, trapping a portal to gaki-do in the forest nearby. He carved a mark in those trees which were haunted, and villagers knew which ones they have to avoid. [2]
