Akodo Ketto was a bushi and tactician of the Lion Clan, one of the most admired swordsman during the 6th century, who helped develop several of the Kensai techniques. [1]
Legion Commander[]
His brilliant successes agalnst several Yobanjin incursions and in an assault on a Scorpion caught the attention of the Emperor Hantei XVI, who gave him command of an Imperial Legion. [1]
Death[]
When he was ordered to exterminate a Crane fishing village because it had been a few days late with its taxes for the year, Ketto hesitated. The villagers begged for a pardon, but Ketto refused to budge. A young woman named Doji Ikuyo challenged him to a duel over the matter. Ketto made his attack before Ikuyo could draw her blade. His hand, however, was empty, and he fell to Ikuyo's blade. [1]
Aftermath[]
Before Ikuyo was executed for obstructing the Emperor's justice, the Steel Chrysanthemum was dethroned and killed by his own servants. The new Emperor pardoned her. Akodo Ketto was considered the true winner, and his attack was remembered as "The Perfect Strike". [1]
