Akodo Hakenka was the son of the lord of the Ichime Castle, Akodo Maouri.
Family[]
His father had an older but illegitimate son, Ichime Sokoi, born from Ichime Amai. [1] Hakenka never liked his father, he was convinced his mother died of a broken heart. [2]
Demeanor[]
Hakenka was a brash and arrogant man. [3]
Death at Ichime Castle[]
His father died in strange circumstances which were investigated by the Kitsuki Magistrate Kitsuki Kaagi, his childhood playmate. [4] The weeks prior to the death, the disagreements had grown angry, even violent between son and father. [5] Kaagi told his father had been murdered with Kebo, a fabric dye which would poison through constant contact. Shortly after his father's lover Amai was found also murdered. Kaagi assured she had poisoned her lover to spread rumors of a family's curse, discrediting his bloodline, so Sokoi could be the new daimyo instead Hakenka. [6] Matsu Nari, his father's karo was uncovered when tried to kill Hakenka, but escaped. His half-brother was found drowned in the courtyard pond the next day. [7]
