Agasha Ryuden Arrives at Shiro Heichi

Agasha Ryuden was a Bloodspeaker [1] who crafted the Anvil of Despair causing the destruction of the Boar Clan.

Shuten Doji's Influence[]

Ryuden under the influece of a deceitful Shuten Doji, was told of the "blood ore" inside the Twilight Mountains. Ryuden wished to employ it in an alchemical experiment designed to gain power over the Shadowlands. [2]

Destruction of the Boar Clan[]

It was recorded that Ryuden had been a guest of the Boar Clan in 501. Curious in the extreme as well as an accomplished swordsmith, Ryuden freed some of the ore created by the blood of some unknown creature. In the process of forging it Ryuden was driven mad by the dark spirit of the First Oni. [3] He forged the Anvil of Despair, sacrificing the entire Boar Clan to it. [4] The foul energy heightened every dark, base emotion within them and they fell upon each other like animals within a few short days of the anvil's creation. The fate of Ryuden was unknown. [2]

Shakoki Dogu[]

During the finale, a party of Imperial Magistrates arrived to told the Boar Clan Champion the Emperor was calling for his seppuku. The magistrates' outrage over what they found deep within the Twilight Mountains further awakened the dark powers of the Anvil. [2] This had the side effect of combining their spirits into the Shakoki Dogu, a vengeful spirit haunting the Mountains. [4] [5]
