The Adaga was the Senpet shield. Its original name was el-darakah, but it was twisted by the men of the Burning Sands, and the new one prevailed. It was a long, heart-shaped, wooden shield, with metal edges. It was used by the Avatar of Ten Thousand and the nobility. [1] Its unique shape allowed its wearer to stop melee weapons catching the blade of the weapon by the crook of the shield and pushed it away from his body. [2]
