- Asahina Yajinden uses the Anvil of Despair to create the Bloodswords. Yajinden then gives them to four of the Clan Champions:
- Ambition is given to Bayushi Rikoji, the Scorpion Clan Champion.
- Passion is given to Doji Tanaka, the Crane Clan Champion.
- Judgement is given to Hida Tenburo, the Crab Clan Champion.
- Revenge is given to Akodo Meikuko, the Lion Clan Champion.
