• The Naga aid the Crab on Kaiu Kabe.
• The Monkey Clan is founded by Toku.
• The Fuzake family is founded by Fuzake Garou.
• Takuan becomes Imperial Chancellor.
• Ide Tadaji becomes Imperial Advisor.

• Isawa Norikazu falls ill for fifteen days and makes a number of prophecies, all of which were recorded in Norikazu's Ravings.
• Otaku Kamoko disappears to search for her mother's murderer. Matsu Agetoki also disappears around the same time.
• The Elemental Dragons depart from Rokugan. The Void Dragon leaves the Dragon's Clan Katana behind before leaving.
• Hida O-Ushi is wed to Shinjo Yasamura.
